Virgin Galactic was proud to join Purdue University for the launch of the Neil Armstrong Space Prize, a new international award honoring excellence in space discovery, innovation, and human achievement. Purdue, known as the “Cradle of Astronauts,” hosted the event, coinciding with the 56th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Virgin Galactic Astronaut 002, Beth Moses, and 004, Sirisha Bandla, who are proud Purdue alumni, participated. Additionally, Mike Moses, Spaceline President, and Sirisha spoke on a panel discussion titled “Space: The Next Endless Frontier,” exploring the future of space exploration alongside Dr. Gillian Bussey, Deputy Chief Science Officer for the United States Space Force, and William Crossley, Purdue’s J. William Uhrig and Anastasia Vournas Head of Aeronautics and Astronautics in the College of Engineering.

Our Virgin Galactic team soared to new heights at this weekend’s Aerospace Summer Games, competing against 56 aerospace companies in Southern California. Finishing 14th overall, our team demonstrated exceptional energy, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit. The event was a thrilling showcase of collaboration and camaraderie, pushing our limits and highlighting the power of teamwork.?#ASG2025 #TeamGalactic
