In just one year, Ecobat has brought online three new lithium-ion battery recycling facilities—a major milestone in our mission to advance sustainable electrification. ???? Hettstedt, Germany ???? Casa Grande, Arizona ?????????????? Darlaston, England Each facility is fully operational and designed to process up to 10,000 tons of lithium-ion batteries annually, with plans to scale to 25,000 tons. These plants produce black mass—a mineral-rich output containing lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese, and graphite—that helps fuel a sustainable supply chain for EVs and consumer electronics. Our global expansion means: ?? Supporting OEMs and recyclers across Europe, the U.S., and the UK ?? Enabling the responsible recovery of critical materials ?? Reducing reliance on virgin resources ?? This potential transaction marks a significant milestone as we continue sharpening our focus on sustainable battery recycling, a core part of our mission. With this move, Ecobat would exit the French market—except for our growing lithium-ion battery collection business—while positioning Campine to build on its strong recycling foundation in France. While Teslas may be known for their high-voltage lithium packs, every pre-2022 model still relies on a 12-volt lead-acid battery to power critical low-voltage systems like touchscreen and climate control, door locks and diagnostics, and onboard computer functions.
